Modest Celebrities: Mckenzie Westmore
Mckenzie Westmore is the host of Syfy's makeup challenge show "Face Off". I have been watching "Face Off" for a year or two now, and something that has always stuck out to me is Mckenzie's choice of clothing. Most of the time she is dressed very modestly! She also looks incredible and classy while doing it. Here are some of my favorite outfits of hers:
My 3 Fall Faves
Fall is quickly approaching here in Utah, and with it comes my favorite style season. Jeans, boots, scarves, sweaters-these hot fall items are popping up all over the place! Here are my 3 favorites for this fall season.
1. Field Jacket:
The field jacket, a recent trend in fall fashion, is my top favorite for this coming season. A classic shape from the 90's era, this jacket is universally flattering. I own and LOVE this one from JCPenney (In the color pictured after the jacket). I wear mine with everything-from skinny jeans to maxi skirts.

2. Button Up Shirts
Button up shirts are a classic that works all year long, but in the fall I love to wear them tucked into jeans with a scarf and boots (and my field jacket-of course!) For the fall season stick to darker colored shirts, lighter colors are more suited to spring/summer.
(Aeropostale Button up-I paid $24 for mine, but I'm not sure if they still have them)
3. Aztec Prints
So I know this isn't exactly a specific clothing item, but I am LOVING this trend for fall. Maxi skirts, scarves, you name it. Just make sure that you choose a pattern with a good color scheme-you want to look chic, not like you're a hermit in the woods.

The Sheer Shirt Solution
This year, like many people, I fell in love with the sheer-backed shirt trend. The shirts were flowy, lightweight, and came in a variety of colors and styles.
Only there was a problem.
Every time I tried to wear one I was left with unsightly straps and hooks and all sorts of undergarments totally exposed! The look went from trendy to trashy in an instant. But then I discovered a solution that not only covers everything neatly, but is almost unnoticeable!
Ta-Da!
DownEast's basic top (also known as a Shade shirt) was the perfect modesty choice for this trend. It covers all of your undergarments, creates a smooth base devoid of multicolored straps and patches of skin, you don't have to layer them to get the coverage you need, PLUS they keep your chest covered when you bend over! Aren't these shirts the greatest!?!
